The UCI Campuswide Honors Collegium (CHC) prides itself on engaging UCI’s top students and offering them exciting opportunities and experiences that help them grow not only as students but as intellectual leaders, professionals, and individuals. Support from alumni is essential to provide many of these transformative CHC programs and traditions.
On December 10, the CHC launched its Honors for Honors fundraising campaign with the goal of encouraging 25% of Honors alumni—approximately 600 former Anteaters—to give a gift or make a multi-year pledge in support of the program. All gifts will go towards the community-building, research, educational, and other opportunities that characterize the UCI Honors experience. Running until June 30, 2021, the Honors for Honors campaign also offers a chance for Honors alumni to show their competitive spirit. By giving a gift of $100 or more for five years, alumni will earn a spot for themselves on the new Alumni Honor Wall in the Student Excellence Center. Additionally, all alumni years will be grouped in five-year teams and progress will be tracked on the CHC’s meter here.
Alumni also have the opportunity to get involved by becoming an Honors for Honors Ambassador. Ambassadors have the important job of sharing Honors for Honors with their networks to amplify the reach of the campaign. For instance, Ambassadors can spread the word by liking and resharing CHC posts, videos, and content, as well as by sharing their own personal experiences with UCI Honors and explaining why they are giving back.
