richard.arum@uci.edu This project is integrating diverse longitudinal data streams, including student LMS data, to generate improved measurement of undergraduate experiences and outcomes to support enhanced institutional performance and to advance educational equity.  Measures derived from student LMS data include student active sessions, hours online, and sequencing and pacing of academic engagement.
Investigating Virtual Learning Environments National Science Foundation Mark Warschauer markw@uci.edu This project is investigating the impact of online, hybrid, and flipped instruction on educational achievement and equity. A series of experiments are conducted within and across classes to better understand how specific instantiations of virtual learning impact learning processes and outcomes.
