Annual Undergraduate Research Symposium
Celebrating 30 Years: Tradition and Vision
May 16-19, 2023
The Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program (UROP) hosts the UCI Undergraduate Research Symposium, an annual event held in May that offers hundreds of undergraduates the opportunity to present the results of their research or creative activities in a professional setting. The 2023 Symposium will feature student oral and poster presentations from all majors and disciplines at UCI. The day will also include student performances, corporate tabling, networking, faculty pieing, and an awards ceremony.
This free event draws hundreds of attendees, including undergraduates, graduate students, faculty, staff, family, friends, and other members of the community. We hope you will join us in celebrating the great accomplishments of our talented student researchers!

All 30 in person presentations will also be recognized as a recipient of the Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Undergraduate Research. The top presenting team from each night, as decided by a team of judges, will also receive a monetary award.
